We cut the glass
Ruby, amber and emerald sheet glass, scored and broken by hand along the pattern, piece by piece.

We paint the portrait
The face is painted onto the centre glass with a fine brush.

We fire it
Into the kiln at 1,250°F, so the paint fuses into the glass. It will never fade, chip or rub off.
04
We lead and solder it
Copper foil, solder and a brass chain hold it together. Then it is checked, wrapped in tissue and sent.
